Amy Davidson

Amy Davidson BA (Hons) is a photographer and creative professional based in Kilsyth, North Lanarkshire. With a passion for visual storytelling and a strong connection to her local community, Amy’s work focuses on capturing authentic moments, striking landscapes, and meaningful human stories through photography.

Amy holds a BA (Honours) degree in Photography from the University of the West of Scotland, following the completion of her Higher National Diploma in Photography. During her studies she developed a strong documentary and creative photography practice, producing socially focused projects exploring themes such as the experiences of young people in foster care. Her work has been exhibited at Kelvingrove Art Gallery in Glasgow, reflecting both her artistic ability and her commitment to storytelling through imagery.

Amy’s photography has also been featured and sold through local galleries, including The Port Gallery near Cumbernauld, where her images of Scotland’s landscapes and natural beauty have connected strongly with visitors and collectors.

Alongside her creative work, Amy is also the Director of The Port Gallery, where she helps showcase and support local artists and photographers while contributing to the vibrant creative community in the Kilsyth area.

Based in Kilsyth, Amy continues to build her portfolio while working with individuals, businesses, and organisations across Scotland.
